Poems » Valley

Sun rays hit the earth.
This day will be a good day,
As the two farmers went to work.
Routine doesn't exist in their eyes,
Dealing with hardships is the norm,
Exhaustion is their reward,
Working the land is their job in this valley.

Crops were grown,
Fishes were caught,
Slimes were killed,
Eggs were collected,
Flowers were given,
A profit was made.

This was the two's daily life,
But they sometimes varied things up a bit.
They paid visits to the town,
The beach, the spa, or the wizard's tower.

They participated in the town festivals,
Gave items to the museum,
Upgraded their farm,
As well as their tools.

Everything they did,
They did together.
They were the best of friends,
And nothing could weaken that friendship.

Notes/trivia

  • A new poem based on a video game! This time, it's Stardew Valley. I replayed that game with a friend for a while, not long after the update that added multiplayer.
  • The first stanza contains the name of the game, if you look carefully. 😉
  • Originally, this poem was supposed to be limited to the first stanza, but I ended up expanding it.
